Returning to port: These sea cadets hone their new skills off St Stephen's Beach |
Nineteen Marine Harbour Division officers successfully completed the Introduction to Sailing courses run by the formation, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centre last month.
Course content comprised basic boat handling techniques, essential background knowledge and safety codes.
The 19 officers recently received their certificates.
Due to huge interest in the course, another one was set for next month.
Introductory course graduates would then move on to the Sailing Basic Skills Training Course set for April and May, to enhance their training and enable them to hire craft to cruise around Hong Kong's beautiful islands and bays.
