Sha Tin's fight crime charity hike
More than 3,500 students from 68 primary and secondary schools, and their parents, took part in the Fight Crime Charity Walk, April 22.
They were joined by several local social groups for the event organised by Sha Tin District and the Junior Police Call. The walk raised funds for the Community Chest and encouraged the Police-public partnership against crime through exhibitions and quizzes.
Deputy Commissioner (Management) Dick Lee Ming-kwai, New Territories South Regional Commander Mike Dowie, Sha Tin District Commander Ian Peggs and Sha Tin District Fight Crime Committee Chairman Pang Cheung-wai, officiated at the walk's kick-off ceremony at Sha Tin Central Park.
