Tai Po Division's new-look report room opened April 19, to the tune of a colourful lion dance and ribbon cutting.

New Territories North Regional Commander John Chung Hiu-pang opened the facility, marking the 19th and latest successful report room revamp under the Customer Service Improvement Project. Some 56 report rooms would be refurbished and upgraded under the scheme.

Mr Chung said in his opening speech that Tai Po was a busy report room, handling more than 32,400 cases last year, and added that the revamp would help enhance its efficiency for both staff and the public.

Other officiating guests included the chairmen of Tai Po's District Fight Crime Committee, Yau Chung-wan, and District Council, Cheung Hok-ming.

The ceremony was followed with a tour of the new facilities by participants.
