Mum's day on the way

"Come down to the Club on Mothers' Day, there's lots of fun, and Dad can pay!"

Yes, May 13 is Mothers' Day and there will be lots of entertainment at the Police Officers' Club to keep the whole family amused.

At lunchtime there will be a colouring competition and grasshopper-making, while in the evening there's the lovely Lucia singing in the TSK Hall, and a piano player in the Grill Room.

The Club caterers are now offering a $10 parking coupon for every $150 spent in the restaurants or bar. This is in addition to the existing scheme of one free hour's parking for every $100 spent anywhere in the Club.

TSK Hall

* Mothers' Day Special Dinners - A choice of four superb menus at $1,280 or $1,480 for 6-8 persons, up to $2,380 or $2,880 for 12 persons. Call 2591-1924 for full menu details.

* Chef's Recommendations - Steamed whole scallop with garlic at $8 each, braised whole abalone with vegetables at $28 each, deep-fried dough stick with minced shrimp at $38, sauteed mussels with black bean and chilli at $48, and steamed mussels with garlic at $48.

Grill Room

* Mothers' Day Buffet Dinner - A sumptuous feast including a complimentary whole braised abalone and a draught beer or soft drink for just $138 per person ($78 for children aged 4-12).

Verandah Bar

* Free bar snacks every Friday from 5.15 pm.
