Keep hindering tourist traps

(This letter was sent to Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui)

I was shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui on February 18 when I was approached by police officers. They had a man with them and told me he had attempted to steal my belongings from my bag. I had not realised until they told me. All of my property was returned and I was very impressed with the officers.

Many tourists are repeat visitors to Hong Kong so it is important to keep up the good work so travellers continue to enjoy their stay here. Thank you very much.

Chida Katsuko

(Editor's Note: Tsim Sha Tsui Divisional Patrol Sub-unit Team Five Sergeant So Wing-chuen, and Police Constables Man Nai-on, Kwan Wai-hei, Chin Wai-fung and To Sze-yeung, and Woman PC Li Wing-shan, made up the team. The defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to eight months imprisonment.)
