NTS scribes awarded for statement skills
New Territories South Region's 10 outstanding Chinese statement takers received prizes from Regional Commander Mike Dowie on May 14.
They were nominated in the Second Round of the Region's Outstanding Statements Selection programme held from October to April.
Attending the award ceremony at the NTS Regional Police Officers' Mess, were their nominators and respective formation commanders. Senior Superintendent Ip Wai-keung, Chairman of the Region's working group on Promoting the Greater Use of Chinese, commended the winners for writing fluent sentences in well-organised phrases that made their statements easy to understand.
The winners were: Senior Police Constable Chan Yun-lin, PC Tse Wing-chuen and Woman PC So Wai-yu of Crime NTS; PC Kwan Ting-chung, PC Yau Siu-wing and WPC Lam Ngai-shan of Crime Sha Tin DIST; SPC Ng Kwok-ki of Crime Tsuen Wan DIST; PC Yam Ho-wing of Ma On Shan Division; and PC Tong Bill of Airport DIST and PC Chan Wai-lung of Traffic NTS.
The winners were proud of their awards and some even shared their statement-taking strategies with colleagues..
