Greenery, freshness and vigour are the characteristics of Lantau District's new logo recently selected from a flood of designs. Woman Police Constable Kam Fung-man's colourful design was chosen from 33 submissions from 11 people.

Designs were called in May/June after the idea of a new LT District logo was raised after the recent Living-the-Values sessions. Voting duties were then undertaken by both the District's disciplined and civilian staff of all ranks and Divisions. However, choosing the best design proved quite a headache due to the high standard of the entries.

Receiving her prize from LT District Commander Mike Cartwright on June 22, WPC Kam said her design's vibrant green hues reflected the freshness and energy of Lantau Island and encouraged environmental protection. Mr Cartwright lauded and thanked all participants for sharing their creativity.
