Sharing road safety tips

Traffic Kowloon West recently held two events to promote road safety messages.

The Elderly Road Safety Promotion Day was held on July 21. Members of the T KW Road Safety Team and Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, KW Region, including more than 50 people from the Road Safety Patrol's elderly team, distributed leaflets to the aged at traffic blackspots reminding them to be careful when crossing the road.

The T KW Road Safety Team and the HK Road Safety Patrol - KW Region, together with the Hong Kong Cycling Association took part in another road safety event - the Cycling Promotion Day - held at Carpenter Road Park on July 28. Safety tips, including those relating to the wearing of protective gear, were emphasised to cyclists. The event also featured a cycling performance by children aged eight to 15 years.
