| A letter was sent to a Chinese-language newspaper on September 21 criticising the paper for not seeking Police confirmation before publishing a story which stated that several terrorists had entered Hong Kong. This was an irresponsible act which would have caused unnecessary concern among members of the public the letter stressed.
