The delegation was greeted and briefed by Acting Chief Superintendent of the Narcotics Bureau Sin Kam-wah on the latest trends on the local drug scene, types of drugs abused, problems related to the abuse of psychotropic drugs by youngsters, aims formulated to deal with such problems by the departments concerned and government strategies for tackling illicit drug trafficking. Both parties subsequently discussed and analysed drug trafficking problems in Wong Tai Sin.
After these discussions the delegation viewed an exhibition of previously siezed paraphernalia used for taking drugs, in conjunction with various kinds of the current psychotropic abused drugs. Delegates showed a keen interest in the exhibition, gaining a deeper understanding of the current drug situation.
