The second
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Police and Security Forces Sport Exchange was
held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club from October 16 to 18. This
was the first time Hong Kong had hosted this annual sports spectacular.
A total of about 270 government officials, atheletes, coaches and working staff from the three regions attended the event. Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui led the Hong Kong delegation. The Guangdong and Macau delegations were led by Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau Deputy Director Zhu Mingjian and Macau security chief Cheong Kuoc V respectively. Following heated competition among the three sports delegations in football, shooting, table-tennis, tennis and swimming, Hong Kong won the most medals in total while Guangdong won the most gold medals.
