Health and safety a priority
The Annex Block houses the Police Community Relations Officer's office, Training and Staff Relations Officer's office and Officers' Mess. There are frequent trips made between the main building and the Annex Block and the covered walkway provides the necessary shelter and ground levelling to cope with safety hazards when staff walk through this area with stacks of files in rainy weather. Without it, both staff and documents would get wet and personnel also run the risk of slipping when floor surfaces or staircases are wet.
