Auxiliary welcomes recruits |

The Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Basic Training Course 2001 for Police Constable recruits commenced on October 29. A total of 56 recruit Constables attended a 'Declaration of Office' ceremony, officiated by Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Commandant Arthur Kwok Chi-shun at Auxiliary Headquarters on November 1. New recruits are required to attend the training course three evenings a week and on 18 Sundays over the course of the 25-week (320 hours) training programme. Programme contents include law and police procedures, drill and musketry, firearms training, beat patrol practical skills, crowd management, key point protection and station defence. Trainees are assessed at various stages of the course through a series of practical tests. At the end of the course, they are required to pass a final examination. The passing-out date for this latest intake of Auxiliary recruits is scheduled for April 20, 2002.
