The Police Lawn Bowls Club and the Police Officers' Club will organise the "Family Fun Bowl Day" on Sunday December 9. This will be a great chance for kids and adults to try the game and have some fun; there'll be coaching on the basics of the game from 10 am to 12.30 pm to be followed by a competition from 1.30 pm among groups in pairs (for 2-12 years, 1 child plus a Dad or Mum; over 12 years, 1 kid plus Dad or Mum or 2 kids). There will be a free afternoon tea set, plus prizes for competition winners and souvenirs for everyone. No need to book, just come along on the day - and don't forget to wear sports shoes! Seats for the Snake Feast on November 30 have been sold out, so we'll organise another feast on Friday January 11 next year - bookings on 2891-4128. Don't forget to book for the Christmas Eve Family Fun Buffet Dinner on December 24 in the TSK Hall. There'll be a singer, magic show, party favours, lucky draw, DJ and disco, and a glass of champagne at midnight. Tickets are $180 per adult, $90 per child (4-12 years), which includes full buffet and 1 standard drink. Book now on 2891-4128. Finally, New Year's Eve will see another great evening of entertainment in the TSK Hall, with a buffet dinner, unlimited supply of beer and soft drinks until midnight, party favours, live singer, Police Band, lucky draw, DJ and disco, midnight Piper and champagne. Tickets are $280 per adult, $140 for kids (4-12 years) - book now on 2891-4128. 2002 Car Park Label...yes, it's time again to change your car park label. Each Principal Member is entitled to apply for one label ($30), and married Members may apply for a second label ($50). The vehicles must be registered in the name of either the Member or his/her spouse. To apply please fax or hand in a copy of your vehicle registration document (both sides) or insurance document, together with your name, UI, post, and tel no to Reception. A final reminder to change your POC Membership Card if you have not already done so - the old blue laminated cards will not be valid after December 31.
