The New Territories South Region invited students in the Region to take part in an Anti-Juvenile Crime Slogan Design Competition in September to inspire youngsters' awareness against the abuse of psychotropic drugs.

Response to the competition was enthusiastic with 1,824 entries. A ceremony was held at Lai King Community Hall on November 23 to present prizes to winners who had come up with the most meaningful and punchy slogans to disseminate anti-drug messages.

Officiating guests at the ceremony included New Territories South Regional Commander Mike Dowie, Chief Superintendent Public Relations Charles Wong Doon-yee and Chairmen of Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, Sha Tin and Islands District Fight Crime Committees.
