Tai Po Divisional Commander Monica Lo, officers from the Police Tactical Unit 'Hotel' Company, Tai Po District Police Community Relations Office and New Territories North Regional Crime Prevention Office and staff of the Tai Yuen Estate management office distributed leaflets on home security, anti-deception and anti-burglary in the estate. Souvenirs were also distributed to the elderly to remind them to beware of burglary and deception.
The PTU 'H' Company officers will help distribute crime prevention leaflets in various housing estates in other New Territories North divisions.
SP Lo said that during the winter precaution period, Tai Po Division would step up beat patrol. Such arrangements, however, would not affect other services provided for the public, she added.
