Sports and Family Day |

The Auxiliary Police
Sports and Family Day was held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on
November 11.
A number of disciplined forces and voluntary groups including the Fire Services Department, the Correctional Services Department and the Civil Aid Service were invited to participate in the sports events. Auxiliary Police Force Commandant Arthur Kwok Chi-shun hoped that the Sports and Family Day would promote sportsmanship and team spirit, and enhance friendship and communications among various disciplined services and voluntary groups. The day featured game and handicraft stalls and performances by police dogs and the Auxiliary Police band. Mr Kwok also dressed in a 'Redman protective suit' to raise $10,000 for the Auxiliary Police Welfare Fund. There were heated competitions among the teams in various sports events
including table-tennis, badminton and tug of war. The Auxiliary soccer
team also played a match against a 'Stars' team comprising artists and
celebrities. The Stars team won by 3 to 1. |
