The Western Police District and Western Junior Police Call Activities Committee held a three-men fight crime basketball competition at Forbes Street park on October 14.

The competition was held to achieve two purposes. First, to call on members of our society to be concerned about juvenile delinquency and to educate teenagers that they should obey the law. Second, to encourage teenagers to actively participate in community activities to learn discipline and to nurture a healthy mind and body.

It was hoped that the competition would provide a healthy activity for students and teenagers in Western and Southern Districts while also publicising the fight crime message so that they would not involve in undesirable activities.

Twenty teams from 16 secondary schools competed in the Men's Category. San Wui Commercial Society Chan Pak Sha School finally emerged as the winner.

Eight teams from five secondary schools participated in the Women's Category with Saint Clare's Girls" School dominating by taking first, second and third places. Meanwhile, Cheng Wing-hong , from Aberdeen Technical College, won the three-point shooting competition.
