Three Lantau Police District teams, which took part in the MSF Orienteering Competition 2002 organised by the Medecins Sans Fronteries, have won two trophies.

They also took the honours in the Team and Individual categories of the Most Outstanding Fund Raising contest.

The orienteering competition started at Tai Shue Ha, Yuen Long on January 20 and it attracted over 1,200 competitors. The rule of this competition, in the form of a treasure hunt, required competitors to make the best use of the two-hour time limit to locate 20 pre-set positions hidden within the competition area.

Police Constables Tsang Kun-tung and Lo Kai-chung, and Auxiliary Police Constable Ng Cheuk-hung won the first runner-up in the three-men team in one hour and 48 minutes.

Senior Inspector Joe Sin, and PCs Fong Siu-cheong and Chow Bing-ming finished in two hours and two minutes and were placed fourth. A total of $15,230 was raised for the MSF.
