Former Woman Sergeant Tang Yuen-mei passed away on April 30 and her funeral was held on May 11. The late Ms Tang, who joined the Force in 1954, achieved many "firsts" during her 35-year Police career. Ms Tang was the first woman Corporal, first woman Sergeant, first woman instructor at the Police Training School and the first woman officer to attend a CID course.
