The officers were paised for their professionalism in detecting a theft case last November in which $300,000 in cash were reported missing from a cash transit van. Through effective cross-boundary cooperation, most of the stolen money was recovered and the suspect, an employee of the company, was brought to justice.

The accused was sentenced to a 16-month imprisonment. In passing sentence, the trial judge complimented the officers for their tenacity and swift action, which led to the recovery of the stolen money.
