Force participates in International Museum Day
The Police Museum together with 23 other local museums participated in a number of activities between May 17 and 19 to mark the International Museum Day 2002.
The three-day event, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, was aimed at enhancing the public's understanding of the functions and services of local museums over the past four decades.
Exhibition booths were set up at the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. A number of Police exhibits, including a summer uniform of Chinese Constable of late 19th century, a Staff Sergeant's winter uniform of 1960s, a winter uniform of Marine Police also of the sixties, a training uniform of Police Tactical Unit of early 1970s and a 'retired' Robotcop were displayed.
