The Police Public Relations Branch issued a total of four letters between July 6 - 11 to four Chinese-language newspapers to clarify a number of inaccurate reports.

Two newspapers on July 10 featured articles on civil servants' protest march alleging that Police did not videotape the procession by civil servants on July 7, which they claimed, was not in compliance with the usual Police practice.

Letters were sent to the two papers on the same day clarifying that two video teams were deployed to tape the procession. It was also pointed out that a press statement was issued by PPRB on that day announcing the Force's decision to deploy two videotape teams to record the procession for crowd control and safety purpose.
