Chief Superintendent, Mr William Tang How-kong, succeeded Mr Charles Wong Doon-yee as CSP PR from July 15. Mr Wong has taken up the post of Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality). Mr Tang, who was previously head of Traffic Headquarters, said he would continue to maintain long term and constructive relations with the media. "It is a privilege and a challenge to head the public relations unit of the Force, which has over the years played a pivotal role in keeping the community abreast of developments in law enforcement and other aspects of Police work," Mr Tang said. "With the help and cooperation of the media, we hope to further enhance communications with members of the public. "Apart from striving to maintain the good reputation of the Force, I shall continue focusing on our efforts to ensure that members of the public are fully aware of the challenges faced by the Force," Mr Tang added.
