Officers of the Tuen Mun District Anti-triad Squad Team Two were recently commended by a local restaurant owner for their efforts in solving a blackmail case.

At a ceremony held at Tuen Mun Police Station, the owner presented the officers with a silver plate and a cheque for $5,000 payable to the Police Welfare Fund "in recognition of your professionalism and swift action in arresting the suspect".

In another development, officers of the New Territories South Emergency Unit Platoon Two were praised for their swift action in arresting a suspect in connection with a series of burglary cases on Tsing Yi.

Representatives from local community organisations presented plaques to the officers to thank them for their efforts in detecting the case.

Speaking at the presentation, Superintendent Philip Woolcott-Brown, the officer in-charge of the team, assured the local residents that the Police would continue working effectively to uphold law and order in the district.
