Heads of 16 criminal investigations departments from western Mainland, led by the Ministry of Public Security Deputy Director General, CID, Mr Fu Zhenghua, paid a seven-day visit to Hong Kong to learn more about the work of their counterparts here.

During their stay, they paid courtesy calls on Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui and other top Police officers with whom they exchanged views on various aspects of Police work and discussed issues of mutual concern.

They also toured various Police establishments where they showed great interest in training facilities at the Police Training School and the Detective Training School, in the operations of a regional command and control centre, and in the work of Organised Crime and Triad Bureau, Commercial Crime Bureau, Narcotics Bureau, Criminal Intelligence Bureau and Identification Bureau.

The visit was considered to be very useful, informative and fruitful. They returned to the Mainland on July 29.

Mainland CID heads say thank you for your hospitality
