As part of the efforts of the Tsing Yi Division in preventing youth crime, more extra-curricula activities will be introduced to steer the youngsters away from criminal activities. The plan was made following a recent gathering between a group of school representatives and Tsing Yi Divisional Commander, Ms Kwong Chen-mee. A series of anti-youth crime programmes, including a football match between officers from Tsing Yi Division and local youths, and the launch of a local prevention of youth crime publicity campaign, has been planned. "We shall continue keeping in touch with representatives from local primary and secondary schools to enhance further cooperation in the prevention of youth crime," said Ms Kwong. Meanwhile, Mong Kok District also launched an anti-youth crime programme this summer to remind youngsters to stay away from dangerous drugs and illicit trade. Earlier, at a kick-off ceremony to mark the start of this year's fight crime publicity programme, Mong Kok District Commander, Mr To Chun-wai, appointed a popular television artiste, who has undertaken to help spread the fight crime message, as a "fight crime star", The ceremony also featured displays on anti-crime measures and a short documentary entitled "No more drugs, My guys".
