Swimming Team makes a splash
Four members of the Police Swimming Team won a gold medal at a swimming gala organised by the Fire Services Department last month.
Competing in the annual match at the Kowloon Park Swimming Pool, they won the Departmental Invitation Relay (4 x 50 meters) event against strong opposition from teams launched by the Correctional Services, Customs & Excise, Immigration, Government Flying Services and the Leisure & Cultural Services departments.
In that fierce but friendly aquatic battle the Police Team clinched the winning title ahead of Leisure & Cultural Services, the first runner-up, and Customs & Excise, the second runner-up.
The Acting Deputy Director of Fire Services, Mr Kwok Ching-keung, presented the well-deserved gold medals to the Police Swimming Team's 'relay' elites.
Police Swimming Team wins gold
