At a presentation ceremony held earlier at Tai Po Police Station, officers of the Task Force, led by Tai Po Divisional Commander, Mr Lau Yan-sang, were presented with an appreciation banner by local residents for their outstanding work in solving a number of robbery and blackmail cases.

Representatives from a North Point primary school have recently commended detectives of North Point Division for their prompt action in the arrest of a blackmail suspect.

At another presentation ceremony, a bar owner presented plates to officers attached to Patrol Sub-unit two of Tsim Sha Tsui Division to praise their efforts in detecting a burglary case. Acting on investigation and surveillance, the officers stopped a targeted taxi and arrested two men after seizing burglary equipment and suspected stolen property aboard the vehicle.

In another development, Sau Mau Ping District Crime Squad One officers were highly commended for their professionalism and painstaking efforts in solving two major theft cases involving a sum of more than $11 million.
