A total of 27 officers, ranking from Inspector to Chief Inspector, attended the Advanced English Writing Skills Workshop in early August. The three-day workshop was organised by the Training Development Bureau with the assistance of the Civil Service Training and Development Institute, aiming at improving the officers' English writing skills. On the last day, Wong Tai Sin District Commander, Mr Ian Tyzzer, conducted a lively question and answer session during which he told them what senior officers expect of them in respect to report writing. Acting Assistant Commissioner (Training), Mr Tony Ho Tse-tong, opening the workshop, welcomed participants and thanked the organisers. He said that feedback from the pilot course would be closely studied by the organisers and course instructor when reviewing course contents. The workshop, he said, was part of the continuing commitment to enhanced professionalism within the Force.
