Osaka Scout Jamboree |

Seven Scouts from the Hong Kong 1095th Eastern Optimistic Scout Group went to the 13th Nippon Scout Jamboree in Osaka earlier this month, thanks to very generous support from the Scout Association of Hong Kong and the Eastern District Fight Crime Committee. The six boys and a girl, aged between 12 and 16, were part of an 80-strong delegation from Hong Kong Scout Groups that joined some 20,000 Scouts from all over the world. For some of our Scouts it was the first time they had been on an aeroplane, the first time they had attended an International jamboree, and their first trip overseas. They took part in all the usual jamboree activities including games, water-sports, pioneering and camp-fire entertainment. In fact they put on a well-received Kung Fu demonstration. They made lots of friends and the chance to exchange international scouting emblems and badges.
