Annual Badminton Championships 2002

The Police Badminton Club is going to hold its Annual Badminton Championships 2002, from September 16 with the finals scheduled for September 28.

This competition is an internal major sporting event and approval has been granted to officers participating in this competition to seek authorized absence from duty from their Formation Commanders.

All serving regular and auxiliary officers, and their civilian counterparts, are eligible and most welcome to participate. No entry fee is required and each participant will get a fine souvenir.

This year's competition comprises the following events:

(a)Men's Singles (by age group): Open (18 years or above); Senior (30 years or above); Veteran (37 years or above); Master (44 years or above); and Grandmaster (51 years or above);

(b)Men's Doubles (By Grade);

(c)Men's Doubles (By Age - the sum of 85 or above);

(d)Ladies' Singles;

(e)Ladies' Doubles; and

(f)Mixed Doubles.
