Chief Executive says thank you
The Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, has written to the Commissioner, Mr Tsang Yam-pui, to thank the Force for helping to make Premier Zhu Rongji's visit a success. Mr Tung wrote:
"I write to thank you and your staff for the excellent work you have done in ensuring the smooth running and successful completion of the visit of Premier Zhu Rongji. Throughout the visit, you and your colleagues have demonstrated dedication and professionalism in ensuring the safety of the Premier and other VIPs, as well as the good order of all the events. Without the careful planning and hard work of the Police Force, the visit would not have been so successful.
Please convey my appreciation to all officers concerned in the Force."
