Girl Guides Celebrity Challenge 2003
The 22-member Hong Kong Police Force Team, all off-duty and volunteers, was one of 32 teams that attended an opening ceremony to launch the Girl Guides Celebrity Challenge fund-raising event on January 12. Deputy Commissioner (Management) Mr Fung Siu-yuen was team leader.
Secretary for Justice Miss Elsie Leung officiated at the ceremony and among the many guests was Richcom Limited's Mr Richard Tang, who was sponsoring the Force team. The purpose of the event was to raise money for the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association.
The Police team was narrowly defeated by the Fire Services Department team.
