The seminar was aimed at staff working in the Passenger Terminal Building of Hong Kong International Airport to enhance their awareness of the problem of counterfeit currency and to brief them on the precautionary measures that will detect such notes when presented. The seminar drew over 50 visitors from 11 large-scale retail and money exchange shops operating in the Airport.

Airport District Commander Mr Chau Kwok-leung gave the opening speech and Senior Inspector Mr John Yuen explained the various features of counterfeit notes. The visitors actively participated in the seminar and expressed the feeling that they were now better equipped to recognise and intercept counterfeit currency in the future.
