Police Cycling Club's inaugural ride |
||
The Police Cycling Club (PCC) had its official launch at Tin Sum Police Station on February 23. The PCC aims at promoting cycling as a means of keeping fit and fostering a healthy lifestyle.
The Club is new and still in the process of developing activities. Currently, members mainly ride in the NT area along the extensive cycle tracks there, although they have pushed further a field on occasions. They aim to ride as a group at least twice a week. During rides from Tin Sum, members are riding as far as Tai Mei Tuk, Fan Ling and even the Sha Tau Kok area.
Riders who subsequently formed the PCC had a successful public outing on the Youth Outreach Bikeathon in November 2002. Riders of all ages took part, including children. All had great fun. It was impressive to see the kids riding and even racing with the adults!
The Club welcomes riders at all levels of fitness. For details of the Club's Constitutions, Objectives and application forms, please visit the Club's homepage at 'POINT'.
For any enquiries or comments, please contact Secretary of the Club, Mr Taylor Cheng at 2694-3315.
