At the ceremony, the family member of a theft case victim presented banners to the officers from the Central District in appreciation of their excellent work in the detection of the theft case. The banners were received by Central District Commander Mr Lee Wai-lam, Central Divisional Commander Mr Cheung Chun-por and Central Task Force Commander Inspector Mr Luk Hoi-ho.

Furthermore, the Owners' Cooperation of Pearl Garden at 7 Conduit Road and Hsin Chong Real Estate Management Ltd were praised for co-operating with the Police in improving public order in the past year.

Mr Lee Wai-lam also presented awards to five smart Hong Kong Peak Tram staff in recognition of their action in fighting crime. On March 12 and 23, the five staff pursued a suspect involved in two separate theft cases occurred at the Peak Tower and Peak Tram terminal respectively. Police promptly arrested the suspect after receiving information from the company staff.
