Extortionists arrested |

In early 2003, three cases of extortion occurred in Shun Tin Estate, Kwun Tong Town Centre and Kowloon Bay involving a carpark, a restaurant and a cleansing company. The incidents were reported to officers of Sau Mau Ping Police Community Relations Office who, in turn briefed the District Anti-triad Squad which took swift action and succeeded in arresting the culprits.
On May 9, Kwun Tong District Council Vice Chairman, Mr Wu Kwok-cheung, and the case victims presented silver plates to Sau Mau Ping District Commander and officers of Police Community Relations Office and District Anti-triad Squad in appreciation of their excellent work in the detection of the three extortion cases.
