Sports & Arts Awards for 2001 to 2002 |

Commissioner Mr Tsang Yam-pui personally presented the Purdon Shield, Watson Cup and Force Colours at an Awards Ceremony held recently at the Police Officers' Club.
The Purdon Shield was awarded to Airport District for its overall outstanding results in sports for the year 2001 to 2002.
The Watson Cup was awarded to Woman Police Constable Ms Wong Tung-nei for her outstanding achievements in shooting competitions.
The Force Colours Award for outstanding achievements in or services to Sports went to: Chief Inspector Mr Chow Kwok-kee (Adventure); Station Sergeant Mr Ip Chi-hung (Athletics); Sergeant Mr Fung Wah-tim (Athletics); Chief Inspector Mr Leung Kwok-chun (Badminton); Senior Police Constable Mr Chu Chi-wai (Badminton); Senior Inspector Mr Lai Chin-keung (Basketball); Senior Police Constable Mr Silas Chan Kam-wai (Golfing); Chief Inspector Mr Jeremy H Dicker (Hockey); Senior Inspector Mr Paul Jackson (Rugby); Sergeant Mr Chu Chung-fai (Rugby); Sergeant Mr Lau Wai-ming (Shooting); Woman Police Constable Ms Chan Tak-ni (Shooting); Sergeant Mr Leung Chi-man (Squash); Senior Inspector Mr Benson Ma Siu-wai (Swimming); Police Constable Mr Ng Mai-wui (Table Tennis); Senior Inspector Mr Albert Lee Ngan-kiu (Tennis), and Senior Inspector Mr Chung Tai-keung (Volleyball).
The Force Colours Awards for outstanding achievements in or services to Arts went to: Assistant Commissioner (Retired) Mr Peter Halliday (Arts Council/Choir); Woman Senior Police Constable Ms Wong Suen Fung-tai (Handicraft); Superintendent Mr Henry Ho Ming-sun (Philatelic); Superintendent Mr Maurice Ng Po-keung (Pop Music), and Station Sergeant Mr Kwok Yiu-wai (Painting & Calligraphy).
Mr Tsang commended all award winners for their positive contributions to the high standards in sports and arts attained by the Force. |
