Police Training School Course Instructor, Station Sergeant Mr Tam Wing-yiu, had mixed feelings of grief and joy when he saw his students - 22 woman Recruit Police Constables (RPCs) - pass out from the School.
Mr Tam said he missed them a lot. "I see them become more and more mature day by day. They were not so familiar with the Force in the very beginning but after training, they gradually built up their Police image."
Having served in the Force for 25 years, he said woman RPCs are on a par with their male counterparts and both attained the same levels of physical requirements.
When asked if there were any differences in training male and female RPCs, he said: "There is no difference at all. But, personally, I would pay more attention to the feelings of woman RPCs."
