Certificates of Appreciation for the War Against SARS

As many as 1,685 members of the Force, of all ranks and grades up to Assistant Commissioner, have been awarded the Hong Kong SAR Government's 'Certificate of Appreciation for Staff Engaged in Combating Atypical Pneumonia Disease'.

Commissioner Mr Tsang Yam-pui reiterated his pride in the way that members of the Force had responded to the emergency and the significant contribution they had made in the War Against SARS.

The Letters of Appreciation are to be issued at presentation ceremonies scheduled for August and OffBeat will be carrying reports about them.
