YT DC attends Islamic Ceremony

Yau Tsim (YT) District Commander Kevin Woods and his Police Community Relations Officer Lau Chi-pui have attended the Iftar fasting of the Holy Month of Ramadan in the Kowloon Mosque at the invitation of the Chairman of the Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong.

Also present at the ceremony was the Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho Chi-ping.

On conclusion of the ceremony, Dr Ho said Hong Kong remained one of the freest and most open societies in the world where every individual had the right of expression.

"It is important that we are tolerant of different views and that we do not infringe the rights or freedoms of other people while expressing our own views," Mr Woods added.
