Central District
Central District and the Central and Western District Fight Crime Committee organised a series of crime prevention activities to remind members of the public to take good care of their personal belongings during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Officers promoted the message by distributing leaflets at restaurants and fast food shops and organising talks at homes for the elderly.

Eastern District
Anti-crime pamphlets were distributed to shopkeepers during a publicity campaign conducted in North Point, Shau Kei Wan and Chai Wan in mid-December by the Eastern District in conjunction with the Eastern District Fight Crime Committee and other community organisations.

Border District
As part of the Winter Precautions Campaign, Border District officers joined hands with community leaders and organisations to distribute anti-crime leaflets to residents in Lok Ma Chau, Sha Tau Kok and Ta Kwu Ling.

NTS Region
New Territories South (NTS) Region hammered home crime prevention messages through a Crime Prevention Forum cum Public Exhibition on Security. At the opening of the forum held in Sha Tin on December 10, the NTS Deputy Regional Commander Kevan Cooper said the function was one of the major Winter Precaution Campaigns being mounted in the Region to convey crime prevention messages to the community.
More than 120 representatives from various groups had participated in the crime prevention forum-cum-exhibition. The exhibition had attracted over 3,000 visitors who showed great interest in the advanced security equipment on display, as well as presentations and demonstrations given by companies in the security field.

Kowloon City
Pupils from nine kindergartens in Kowloon City District recently took part in a drama competition which aimed at enhancing public awareness of road safety and putting across this year's road safety slogan, "Be a smart driver and pedestrian, enjoy safe cycling activities". The competition was jointly organised by the Police Kowloon City District, Kowloon City District Road Safety Campaign Committee, Kowloon City District Council, Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Hong Kong Pediatric Foundation and Hung Hom Sam York Chiu Kiu Yue Lan Friendly Society.

Traffic HKI
Some 450 kindergarten principals, teachers, pupils and parents participated in a "Talent Quest" Contest organised by the Road Safety Office of Traffic Hong Kong Island at the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre. The contest, comprising drama and musical play, was officiated by Senior Superintendent Li Tat-wah and Regional Commander of Road Safety Patrol (HK & Islands), Mr Liu Kai-ming.

Traffic NTN
Traffic New Territories North's Road Safety Office joined hands with the NTN Road Safety Campaign Committee to organise a "road safety bus parade cum slogan competition" in Tuen Mun last month. Chief Inspector Kwan Ping-yun inspected the school road safety patrols at the prize presentation ceremony of the slogan competition.
