Joint efforts to promote road safety messages |

Traffic Branch Headquarters, Traffic Hong Kong Island and Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong and Islands Region) joined hands in promoting road safety on March 14 with the Pak Fuk Road Safety Town Open Day in North Point.
Besides disseminating road safety messages, the Open Day also marked the launching of road safety computer game kiosks, which feature interactive computer games to provide children with knowledge of road safety. Other highlights of the event included presentation of prizes to winners of a road safety slogan design competition, as well as lion dance and drama performances. Officiating at the event were Traffic Branch Headquarters Senior Superintendent, Mr Paul Croft; Traffic Hong Kong Island Senior Superintendent, Mr Li Tat-wah; and Regional Commander of Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong and Islands Region), Mr Liu Kai-ming. Meanwhile in Cheung Sha Wan, the grand finale of the 2003/04 Sham Shui Po Road Safety Campaign Carnival was held recently at the Maple Street Playground, attracting more than 5,000 visitors. Sham Shui Po District Commander Peter Hunt, speaking at the opening of the event, reminded the public to be more careful on the roads to prevent traffic accidents.
