Another bouquet for the Force
The Hong Kong Cycling Association has thanked the Force for supporting the 8th Tour of South China Sea and Hong Kong Cycle classic.
In a letter to the Commissioner, the Association's
Chairman, Mr Leung Sik-wah, said: "With your
co-operation, these two races were successfully held in Hong Kong on December 25 and 26, 2003, and January 4, 2004.
"We had received encouraging response from the
overseas teams participating in the tour and the cycle classic. Over 100 riders from 18 overseas teams together with our three home teams competed for the honour, which had also been widely covered by both the local and overseas media.
"We feel highly honoured by such a fruitful experience and partnership, and look forward to receiving your
continuous support."
The Force has provided services and assistance at many international athletic meets, the latest being the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2004 and the Hong Kong Sevens 2004.
