The funeral service of retired Chief Inspector Peter Ip Pau-fuk was held at Hong Kong Funeral Parlour on May 24, followed by cremation at Cape Collinson Crematorium. Many colleagues, led by Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai, paid their last respect to Mr Ip at the funeral parlour.

Mr Ip passed away at Grantham Hospital on May 8.

He joined the Force in 1966 and had since served in various units, including Police Cadet School, Crime Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters, Organised Crime and Triad Bureau and Criminal Intelligence Bureau. An expert in triad societies, he retired in April 2000.

Many who have known him at work or socially will remember Mr Ip with great affection and respect.
