More than 380 Force members and their families, led by Director of Management Services Mike Dowie, and Assistant Commissioner (Crime) Lo Yik-kee, took part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run 2004 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on May 16, raising $640,000 for charity.
The charity run took place in fine weather with refreshing breeze blowing along the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui East. Expressing appreciation of the participants' support for "this most meaningful charity run", Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch Superintendent David Lo Tat-fai said the sum raised by the Force represented 50 per cent of the total collected by the organising unit. |
