Force shines in Outstanding Customer Service Award | ||
The Force has won three awards in the Civil Service Bureau's "Outstanding Customer Service Award 2003-04", namely the Best Public Image Silver Award for the Force, Champion of the Team Award on "Hotline Service" for the 999 Centre, and second prize of the Team Award on "E-Service" for E-Police Division.
Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph WP Wong said public recognition was the strongest driving force for the civil service to make continuous improvements in the standard and quality of its work. "It is the aim of all civil servants to serve the community with quality and effective service," he added.
The Civil Service Bureau has launched the Outstanding Customer Service Award for the fifth year to recognise the achievements of departments and teams in customer service. Twenty-nine departments have submitted a total of 89 entries for the Award.
The adjudication process included examination of submissions, visits to entry units and presentations by short-listed departments and teams to an adjudication panel, which comprised representatives from the Legislative Council, District Councils, professional organisations and the staff sides of the Central Consultative Councils.
