Healthy lifestyles will be the order of the day at a carnival to be held at PSRC on August 21 and 22, said Senior Superintendent (Staff Relations) Wong Wai-fung in an interview with OffBeat.
Organised by the Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch of Personnel Wing, the carnival will take place from 10 am to 6 pm on both days. Apart from serious matters, such as promotion of "physical, financial and psychological well-being", a lot of funs are in store for children. "The carnival will teach participants how to stay healthy through an anti-smoking symposium, talks and seminars on prevention of diseases, medical consultation and check-up, as well as displays by police art and sports clubs. We are happy to have experts from different areas on health related issues from various organisations to conduct seminars for participants of the carnival. "For children, there will be Indoor Orienteering Fun Run, Indoor Rowing Competition, variety shows, including Lion Dance and Police Children Choir, Robotcop Show, Water Carnival and inflatable bouncers," Mr Wong added. The carnival will be a fun-filled and informative event for Force members and their families. Further details can be obtained from POINT or CIP SR on 2866-7427.
