News has been received that retired Senior Superintendent Bruce Ferguson passed away in Cyprus on August 13 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Beryl. Mr Ferguson's distinguished service with the Force spanned 21 years from 1971 to 1992. He had served as Head of Identification Bureau (IB), and is remembered fondly in IB as a truly great man of character. He was also instrumental in the founding of both IB's Advanced Technology Section and Computer Assisted Fingerprint Identification System.
